The hotel is located in a stunning plaza right opposite the cathedral, making it a fantastic spot with a big room and fabulous bathroom. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, providing excellent service. However, the dining experience could be improved with more staff assistance, even though the food was varied and very good.
I stayed in a room above reception which had direct access to the roof terrace with a plunge pool and a small sunbathing area, offering a nice view of the square. The rooms had a strong smell of smoke, which was off-putting, but the location right in the heart of the old town was fantastic, near great tapas bars and a short walk to the Alcazaba. The service was a mix of not so friendly at times, such as no greetings during breakfast, but the staff were charming overall. The dining experience was not great with disorganized service and poor food quality, yet the facilities like the rooftop terrace were pleasant to enjoy.
I was very welcome with a bottle of fizz and chocolates in a room that was perfectly air-conditioned, featuring a HUGE comfy double bed, a sofa, chaise longue, and even a computer. The view facing the cathedral right next door was exceptional. The hotel is ideally located near the restaurant and foyer area, just 2 floors away.
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Almeria, right next to the Cathedral, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms are modern and well renovated with great amenities, though lacking open windows or air conditioning. The service was top-notch, especially with the delightful breakfast included. Dining options were decent, and the location couldn't be better for sightseeing, although parking nearby is a challenge. Overall, a nice stay with great value for money.
